In 2000 a few members of the church decided to form a Drama group

and so the Whitefield Players were formed.

The first production which was a Pantomine and directed by David

Goddard,   Babes in the Wood and Robin Hood.  After this production a

new director arrived, Tracy Rogers, and she is still directing the group.  

Every year the group put on two shows, a Pantomime in the Winter and a

Variety  show or Play in the Summer

    2003   Cinderella. -   As time goes by.

    2004   Dick Whittington. -   The American Dream

    2005   Sleeping Beauty. -   Oh Brittannia.

    2006   Jack and the Beanstalk.  -    Old Time Music Hall.   

    2007   Treasure Island.  -  A Night at the Oscars.

    2008   The Snow Queen.  -   Passport to Europe.

     2009   The Three Musketeers - Passport to the World - O Yes we did

    2010   Robin Hood

    2011   The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe - T.V. Mayhem

    2012   The Scarlet Pimpernel  -  Old Time Music Hall 

    2013   Peter Pan - A Year to Remember

    2014   Little Red Riding Hood  -  You're having a Laugh

    2015   Alice in Wonderland  - The Wind in the Willows     

     2016    Once upon a Pantomime - The end of the pier murders

     2017    Aladdin - Knock knock who's there

    2018   Pantomime at the Hokey Cokey Corell  - How to stage a roberry

    2019   Puss in Boots - Act Your Age

    2020   Dick Turpin

The group consists of all ages and everyone is welcome.

 

We meet every Sunday afternoon at the Patchway Community Centre, Patchway. 

 

The next production is a Pantomine    SLEEPING BEAUTY.
